As part of the study course for international students at the University College of Teacher Education Vienna / PH Wien, learning videos are being produced on an ongoing basis starting in the winter semester 2023. In small international teams, students will provide insights into their ideas on global citizenship education. They make connections between Global Citizenship Education and other goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The critical examination of academic texts and methodological-didactic materials in the course “Global aspects of the teaching profession using the example of Global Citizenship Education” under the direction of Ursula Mauric (I:UDE) provide the basis for this. The completion of the videos is supported by Christian Gatterer (Z:ZID) in the seminar “Media and Information Literacy”. Both courses are part of the international program (30 ECTS-Credits) for incoming students at PH Wien. In this way, the wonderful potential for a fruitful examination of global political topics, which reflects the diversity and heterogeneity of the Erasmus+ students at the PH Vienna, can be made visible for all students and also for interested teachers. In order to make the content accessible in addition to English (the common working language in the seminar), the videos are created and subtitled in several languages.
