The Pädagogische Hochschule Wien (PH Wien) was honored to host a distinguished delegation from the National Taipei University of Education (NTUE) for a visit from November 2 to 6, 2026. Coordinated by the PH Wien Centre for Internationalization, this week-long visit provided a valuable opportunity to exchange insights on teacher education and share academic practices between our institutions.

Academic Exchange and International Collaboration

We were delighted to welcome our esteemed guests: Prof. Hsieh I-Chun, Chen Yu-Fang Ph.D. , and Chen Chien-Han Ph.D. from NTUE. The program offered a balanced mix of academic discussions, practical observations, and cultural immersion to ensure a comprehensive overview of the Austrian educational landscape.

A key highlight of the visit was the official welcome meeting with Rector Barbara Herzog-Punzenberger. As part of this visit, the delegation also had a productive meeting with Ms. Jing Zeng, Director of the Education Division at the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Austria, further strengthening our collaborative network.

Exploring Austrian Education and Culture

To gain practical insights, the group visited a local primary and middle school to observe the Austrian educational system firsthand. The academic schedule also included engaging discussions on Austrian cultural history and was complemented by guided cultural tours of Vienna’s historic city center, visits to the campus library and the House of Music.

PH Wien is exceptionally happy regarding this successful cooperation. International dialogues and shared cross-cultural experiences are vital for the continuous development of educational excellence.
