FOOTT STEPS (Framework Outcomes & Outreach in Teacher Training: Sustaining Transformation, Evaluation, Practice & Systems Change) is a European Erasmus+ cooperation project that strengthens the professionalisation of trainers in teachers’ continuous professional development. Building on the results of the predecessor project, FOOTT PRINTTS, a consortium of seven European countries is developing and piloting an innovative train-the-trainer qualification programme with micro-credentials in line with the Europass Digital Credentials. The project’s aim is to improve the quality and long term effectiveness of in-service teacher training, to establish common European quality standards for teacher trainers, and to build a lasting European community of practice for in-service teacher trainers. All materials and training programmes will be published as Open Educational Resources and will be freely available to educational institutions and training providers across Europe.
