Our Erasmus+ staff/teacher training trip to Ukraine served the purpose of strengthening the bilateral cooperation with our two Ukrainian partner universities, namely Ivan-Franko National University Lviv and Ivan Franko State Pedagogical University Drohobytch.
Productive discussions with Deputy Principal Maria Zubrytska and Dean Wolodymyr Sulym from Ivan-Franko National University Lviv led to a common foundation for further collaborations.
Dean Wolodymyr Sulym and his colleagues took excellent care of us. They gave us a tour through the university and shared their insights into Ukraine (and especially Lviv) and its culture, people, politics and history with us. A visit to the opera before we moved on to Truskavets with its famous spa and the University of Drohobytch was the highlight of our stay in Lviv.
Dean Jaroslav Lopuschanskji invited us to the fourth “Österreichtage” (Austria days) in Drohobytch. The opening ceremony with the Dean himself, Ambassador Hermine Poppeller, Mr. Taras Metik and other guests of honor took place in the local town hall.

All seminars, lectures, symposiums and speeches were held in the main building of the university and the Austrian library of the institute of foreign languages. Throughout the event, the speakers and organizers put an emphasis on the strong attachment to Austria, showing respect and solidarity.
With the support of former Incoming students of PH Wien, the University organized a well-attended Erasmus+ information event in the big auditorium of the school.

The Ivan Franko State Pedagogical University Drohobytch was also very eager to maintain our bilateral mobility agreement and to increase the exchanges of both students and staff.
